Camp is for Everyone

“That was the moment, at Surf City, that I gave my life to Jesus.”

Maddie grew up surrounded by faith. Her dad, Kent, is a pastor, and her mom, Erica, was a member of our team for years. Yet even though ministry was such a big part of her family life, Maddie reached a point where her relationship with Jesus had to become personal.

That turning point came as a middle schooler at Surf City. During Club at Surf City, Maddie heard the Gospel in a fresh way and decided to make her faith her own. Years later, after serving students and survivors of addiction in El Salvador, she recognized God’s call to work in full-time ministry. Today, she helps lead Surf City, the same camp where her faith became her own.
