School is in session 📚

Together For Good Day 3

Public school is not an option for many families in Haiti for a number of reasons. It’s prohibitively expensive, and the buildings often lack basic necessities like desks or chalkboards. That’s why the IDADEE Schools are one of IDADEE’s most important programs.

IDADEE operates four schools serving students from kindergarten to high school, including a vocational school. These schools serve 441 students from the Children’s Home and the surrounding community. Many of these students require and receive a full scholarship.

In this story, you’ll hear from John, who serves as the administrator of the IDADEE Schools, as well as Julien, a third-grade teacher who shares how having a dedicated teacher in your corner cheering you on can make a big difference for a struggling student.

Access to education is crucially important for kids, and we’re honored to work with partners like IDADEE who help students succeed in school and life.
