Mara McClain

Mara McClain was one of the first women to work full-time in student ministry in Pittsburgh. She attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Youth Ministry’s four year training program. Mara holds a Master’s of Social Work Degree from The University of Pittsburgh and has worked as a medical and mental health social worker. She also served 8 years as the Director of Operations for a contemporary worship service in South Carolina. Mara loves to see the Gospel communicated in new and creative ways. She met her husband, Chris, in high school while attending a student ministry event. They have two great teen-agers and two dogs.

Mara enjoys snow skiing, traveling, playing tennis, and running. She also writes for Bible Reading Fellowship and currently works in her family’s engineering firm.
